In the years 1910-2010, the journal Mitteilungen aus Lebensmitteluntersuchungen und Hygiene = Travaux de chimie alimentaire et d'hygiène (from 1910-1998 under the title Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiet der Lebensmitteluntersuchung und Hygiene = Travaux de chimie alimentaire et d'hygiène) was published by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). The journal served as the publication organ of the Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Lebensmittelhygiene (SGLH) and the Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Lebensmittel- und Umweltchemie (SGLUC). Universities, colleges and research institutions of the Confederation and industry had a platform to publish their studies with the journal.
